we are thinking of starting our honeymoon at one of these resorts in the top of the line room. Which would you choose and why?

Due to flight changes we might come down one day earlier before checking in to our villa.

We've often gotten to STJ the day before we can get into our villa. For one night only I'd go for Estate Lindholm (unless Caneel will let you do a one night and pick you up with their ferry on STT. The Westin would be last on my list. Remember that first night you're going to be super tired and it's really just a place to sleep that first night.

I've stayed both places, and I'd go with Caneel. Caneel has much more beautiful beaches, gorgeous grounds, and more "island charm".

Caneel will allow one night at that time and we can use the ferry. Could also include a breakfast only or dinner and breakfast and lunch the next day. We could really get our time out of it if we did that and still get to our villa around normal time.

I'd say go for it then. Just wait until you see those beaches! I'm sure you'll love Caneel.

What villa will you be staying in?

Caneel is beautiful. You can't go wrong staying there plus you get the royal treatment with their ferry over from STT. Luck you! Have a wonderful honeymoon!
