If we rent our vehicles on St. Thomas, would we be able to take the car ferry back and forth on Sunday? By looking at the schedule I can't tell if they run Sundays or not? Thanks for any info you could give.

They do run on Sundays, but you'd better check with your car rental company to make sure you're allowed to bring the vehicle to St. John. Not all car rental companies on STT allow you to leave island with the car.

yes, we are renting through Budget and they let you take their vehicles to St. John. So the ferry runs as normal(every 1/2 hour) on Sundays?

The car ferry does run on sunday. Starting at 7:30 am. Click on Plan Your Trip at the top of the page and then go to Ferry Schedules.

Love City Car Ferries has a website where you can book and buy round trip tickets. This will garantee you a spot on the boat. Sometimes the last and first ferries are hard to catch.

Hertz is about the only car rental company that does not allow you to do this.
Tropical Shipping is not a ferry. It entails a whole lot more to send a car with them to St Croix and back.
