I had heard that Courtesy Car Rental had moved. Anyone know where and how to get there from the dock? Also, it is amazing to me that they are $80.00 / a week cheaper then most of the other car rental places there. Does this mean the Courtesy rental have nasty old clunkers to rent. Why the huge price difference?

We've used Courtesy Car Rental for the past 4 years and we love them.

They are now located just up the hill from where they were. At the round-about (what used to be the Texaco) stay to the right as if you were going to the Starfish Market, there is a right hand turn down the hill, go down there and they are about 100 yards on the right. The office is a little white building. They don't have junkers, they have really good reliable vehicles and they are awesome people to deal with. We always rent a jeep wrangler and they have always been reliable well kept vehicles. This year we noticed once we got to the villa that one of the tires had some thread showing, the next day we were headed into cruz bay so we stopped there first and they replaced the tire while we had lunch at Beach Bar. The nice thing is you can park the vehicle there while in town and it's completely safe and easy. It's nice you can do that because parking in town is pretty limited. It's about a 5 minute walk from ferry. If you rent from them put their number in your cell phone and call them once you get on the ferry from STT and they'll meet you at the dock, take you back to the office, do the paperwork and you are off to enjoy the island.

Jill, I have a 2007 St. John map and was looking at where you said Courtesy Car rental moved to. Is the small white building they moved to possibly across from the tennis courts? or before the starfish market? I bet this map has changed in the last 2 years but I'm trying to memorize cruz bay to try to figure out where you are talking. I did email Courtesy today so maybe they can help me as well. I know once I get back there in October it will come quickly come back to me.

Wait til you try and negotiate the roundabout - I am sure that isn't on your map!

As you are headed to Starfish Market, pass the new roundabout, on your right there is a department store and the laundry mats, directly across the street there is a right hand turn that goes down a steep litle incline, go down this and Courtesy is on the right. It's on the same road that would take you to the St. John Inn.

I'd just call them when you get on the ferry and they'll meet you right at the dock.

Thanks Jill, that new roundabout is going to kill me. Is that where the Texaco station was? I remember filling up there many times. Why did the change it anyone know? Ok im going to look at my map again....Ok I looked at my 2007 map and I do see a small white building right next to the st. john inn and a small one close to across the street from the st. john inn. I assume it is one of those? Our villa management is going to meet us at the dock so Courtesy wont have to worry about finding us. I still cant believe they are $80.00 a week cheaper then all the others. That blows me away. Thanks again...
