Our cruise makes its first stop on St. Thomas on 12/1. Where is the nearest car rental facillty? If not nearby, would someone meet you near the docks? I am assuming it is wise to make the reservations before arriving. Also, any suggestions on where to rent would be appreciated (also if any info. on price is available, too). Thanks!

There is an avis rental right across the street from Havensight mall where the ship pulls in. However, You might have a second thought depending on how long your ship is in port. Depending on how many other cruise ships are in that day it can take almost an hour to get from down town to the ship. faster to walk. Plus parking is limited downtown. If you have a lot of family traveling with you and your are looking to go to the beach it might be a good idea to rent a car. otherwise taxi is the way to go. Costs about $6 person to get down town from cruise ship $9 to get to maegans bay.

Hello,

Most ships dock in Havensight and there is both an Avis and a Budget office just accross the street.

http://www.avis.com or Toll Free: (800) 230-4898

http://www.budgetstt.com or Toll Free: (800) 626-4516

Yes reservations are a good idea for that time of year.

Some ships are at anchorage and others at Crown Bay - which ship are you coming on?

Hello Sunny,

Based on November's schedule the Norwegian line is at the Havensight dock. I don't have December's schedule as yet.
