Taking Rental Cars to St.John

I am looking to rent a car in St.Thomas and take the Car Ferry to St John for a day.

Can someone tel me which rental car companies allow this ?

all of em as far as i know
we did budget in sept and took it over on the ferry no prob....
you can also just go over with a taxi and taxi around when you get there

I'd check with the rental company. Maybe things have changed but Hertz did'nt allow their cars to go over to St. John last I checked.

I didn't think Hertz and Avis allowed their cars to go to St. John. Budget and Dependable do allow for ferry transport to STJ.

I just called every rental agency on STT that was in the Yellow Pages, and here are the results:

YES:
-Amalie (if it is a 4X4 only)
-Avis
-Budget
-Dependable
-Discount
-First
-Thrifty

NO:
-Bowsky
-Cowpet (said "Not a good idea.")
-EZ
-Hertz
-Tri-Island

Hey, Islander...Maybe you can add a permanent link for this? Just a suggestion.
