stayed at cruz views many times...am doing so again in april..i prefer a villa but when times are lean the condo is perfect !! the units are privately owned, so all are decorated and stocked individually but all are nice and always have what i need. there is a nice pool/ the pool area has a covered area w/ table and chairs. great for sunset watching...also there's a bbq for tenants use. the condos are just "up the hill" from cruz bay so easy access to town. hopefully you plan to rent a car so you can explore the island and get to all the beautiful beaches. do not hesitate to stay there..also i've used carribean villas for all my rentals for the past 10 yrs and have found this company to be very helpfull and knowledgeable about st. john/ great staff !!!

If this is your fisrt trip to the island of St. John make sure you rent a vehicle and explore.....

Don't forget to take in Freds on Wed. night, I have been going to Fred's since 1977 and it just gets better each year.....

Enjoy...

Freds is a very local place been there forever. Has live music on Wed. and Fri. Very local place it is across the street from the Lime Inn.

Usually standing room only on nights with band, I believe that Inner Vision is still playing there.

Ask anyone they will tell you where it is at.

Enjoy.

Booked the Cruz View Condo, Unit#6-Caribbean Villas were exceptional in the booking process. D

Am looking for accomodations for 2 seniors. Must be on ground floor. Both having trouble climbing. LOve St. JOhn and want to go back there. Would consider month, but most likely 2 weeks there and then visit St. Croix. Have friends there, but do not like island as well. Would also consider St. Thomas. Want sea breezes, less sun is better, and must have good rates. Need kitchen. Would rent car, love Cruz Bay and Mongoose Junction. Do not want resort, rather be isolatted.

Hello Joyce -

I haven't ever stayed at Gallows Point, but I think they may have units that are both ground floor and one level. As you probably know, they are nicely located overlooking Cruz Bay from the south side of the bay. Of course, at Gallows you would likely have neighbors above your unit; and I think on one side (i.e., I believe the buildings house four units, two below and two above).

Best of luck! I'm sure you'll be able to find a nice cottage or condo or villa that fits your needs.

Dave

Joyce, we've stayed in Hawksbill Villa..this has a nice one level layout, right out to the deck/pool..no stairs. nice comfortable villa with an ample kitchen which has all you'll need for cooking. this is in the Great Cruz Bay area..nice view/sunset and easy drive into cruz bat..just minutes. bedrooms are nice and the villa has AC. check the site www.caribbeanvilla.com
