Can anyone tell me if drones are legal in St. Thomas? I'm traveling from the mainland and would love to get some amazing aerial video while on island.
Warm Regards
Kaanga

Yes, they're legal - so far! Here's a link to the Sapphire webcam which includes a link to a wonderful video taken last year by a visitor with a drone camera:

A few months back I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of a visiting friend who I hoped would come over to my place and shoot it from up high - would have been awesome if he didn't unfortunately mess up and crash-land it in water! 😀

Thank you so much for the reply. That footage is really great that you showed me. I'm thrilled to hear that I can take this type of footage while on island. Fingers crossed that I don't end up ditching it in the water as well! 😉
Best,
Kaanga

I see you would like to use it on STT. A word of caution to anyone who might read this and feel free to take one to StJ. The NPS has outlawed use of drones in our National Parks.
Thank you NPS.
