Probably best to check with the airlines, customs or the post office.

No need for any ice for most people. Freeze whatever meats you're planning on bringing and wrap them well in newspaper, pack the cooler tightly and the frozen will still be frozen when they arrive and any non-frozen perishables will still be cold.

As far as mailing dry goods, if you're staying at a resort, check with the resort management. If you're staying in a villa, check with the owner/manager. If you can't be accommodated, contact Connections on St John at 340-776-6922 and for a reasonable fee they'll accept your package and hold it for your arrival. Ship via Priority Mail in the fixed-price boxes (3 sizes available) and be sure to write the mailing address EXACTLY as directed. The Priority boxes are the delivery method of choice here and their on-time delivery record is excellent.

Enjoy a great visit - and don't overpack where either food or personal stuff is concerned!
