Which beaches on STJ will be most accessible for my parents and in laws? Two walk with canes and one had a really bad knee. Pop Pop moves about quite well. Soooooooo, three out of four can't take a long walk from car to beach. They are all fun to be with though!!

Maho is the closest to where you can park actually you practically park on the beach, but get there early. Second would be Hawksnest. There's a walk to Trunk that's not too hard to navigate and it and Cinnamon are the only two with access to food.

I second Maho. Although if you really want to go to Trunk they have a wheelchair that works on the sand. But I'd stick with Maho and bring food with you, although there are no bathrooms at Maho.

To: New England,
I would be interested in knowing where you are staying. The reason I ask - I have found most of the rental villas do not have easy access for older adults with walking problems. I also have to consider this for my older traveling companion. Thanks... Hanna

Hanna,

We are going with 22 (?) family members and staying in 3 villas. The one with the bad knee is staying at Dolphin Run...she is fine with stairs, but has to take it slow. I've forgotten the name of the villa where my parents are staying, but will send it to you when I can ask my brother who rented it (he is in Europe right now).

Many of the villas have the pool on the main entry level with at least one bedroom there. Look at Jazz Villa at caribbeanvilla.com. I know my brother considered that one, but could not get it the week we were going.
