Estate Nazareth is on the east end of St. Thomas. It is close to Red Hook (restaurants, bars, some shops, ferry to STJ are there). It is also close to the east end beaches like Sapphire, Secret Harbor, Cowpet...

Thanks for your reply. Is the Estate Nazareth area on Smith Bay Road? Is it upscale? Does anyone on the east end sell live lobsters? I remember seeing fisn at the end of the road at Coki...

Estate Nazareth is more or less in the area where Smith Bay Rd. meets Red Hook Rd. and then also into the peninsula where Cowpet, Secret Harbor etc. are located. Some of it is upscale.

There are usually fishermen at the end of the Coki Beach road in Smith Bay selling from their trucks; you can pull over and ask if any of them have live lobster - probably not something they have everyday. If you drive along Weymouth Rhymer Highway, at the corner close by Fort Mylner Shopping Center... same side of the road as the entrance to Pricemart... there are usually fishermen there also.

Islander - thanks again for your reply. I'll be certain to check out the Pricemart area also. I am staying at a home that is on the street/lane above St. Thomas Yacht Club. I assume that's a very nice area... any other information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Also, what is the best ferry to take to Virgin Gorda or Jost Van Dyke? I went there a few years ago, and it was quite a long ride -- is Speedy's the name of it? Do you have any suggestions for car rentals in STT? Many thanks...

The Yacht Club is in a nice area, same general area as several resorts and condos (Secret Harbor, Elysian, Ritz Carlton).

There is one ferry operator that goes from St. Thomas to Jost, and there are two for St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda (Speedy's is one of them but they only overlap on one day so which you take will be dictated by which one is running on the day you want to make the trip. The schedules, operator/telephone number etc. are available on this site. You can check that out at: VI Ferry Schedules.

Try the St. Thomas Car Rentals page, contact them and see what rates they have to offer.
