Hello everyone! Greetings from Lexington, Kentucky!

I'm planning my annual trip to STT/STJ with my wife of 23 years for Feb 3 - 11. This is our 4th annual trip, and we always go over her birthday on February 7th.

Last year, we went on the Winifred daysail and snorkel adventure during the daytime, and then I took Islander's advice and made special reservations at the Banana Tree Grille complete with locally supplied table flower arrangement and "secretly brought" birthday cards from our kids. It was a really great day, and I know she has wonderful memories.

I'm starting my planning for her special day this year! This year, we're staying on STJ. So far, I've tossed around the following ideas:
1. Rent a powerboat and captain for the day - tour various islands throughout the day - then dinner back on STJ (by the way, does StuScott visit this board anymore?).
2. Go deep sea fishing (really - she DOES like to fish!) and plan on cooking her catch for her in the condo (Cruz Bay Villas) for dinner.
3. Secure a private chef to make a special dinner for us at the condo.

While budget isn't the highest consideration, it isn't limitless either, so a chartered yacht for an evening cruise and dinner is out (TomB - I figured you'd suggest this - I did a search before posting the question!).

Anyway - I'd LOVE your thoughts on something unique and memorable.

Thanks! VI Lover

and if you like eating all the shrimp you can, go to Lime Inn. Oh, that's right it's her birthday.

Kidding aside it is a very good place to eat and Wednesdays better if you like shrimp.

I'd wake her with coffee in bed, then a breakfast on your lovely deck. Let her pick the beaches for the day. Arrange for a massage in your villa (the utlimate in pampering in my book!) in the afternoon then take her to Zozo's for dinner. Get there around 5:30 and have a drink upstairs and watch the sunset. Have reservations at the railing and make sure you tell them about her birthday - they'll deliver your dessert choice (I opt for the chocolate volcano cake) complete with a candle. That would certainly be a wonderful birthday for me 🙂

Chartering a boat and captain for an exclusive island hopping day is very fun! We've done it twice. Cost for a power boat & capt is @ $700 if you want to hit the BVI's.

I really like the massage idea too!

Wow! Thanks for the idea of the massage!!! I didn't even think of that, and I KNOW she would love it. We go to a resort each summer (for my work), and she always pampers herself with a spa treatment while I'm in sessions. Thanks!

Don't be shy - keep the ideas coming - you're doing GREAT so far!!!
