Puerto Rico to St Thomas - options?

We're getting to San Juan Jan 17th and want to go right over to St Johns or St Thomas. The ferry from Fajardo seems to only run twice a month, and not then. Any island-hopping suggestions? We'd rather be on the water than in the air, and are looking for an inexpensive way to do this. Thanks,

There is no cheap way to do this. Try Cape Air or Seaborne Airlines.

Seabourne uses sea planes. They fly between downtown STT & Old San Juan. You don't have regular airport hassles & it's a fun way to get around.
