*Is there customs/ Imigration on departure at the ferry to Tortola?? Duty free etc?

The Customs office is on Tortola. You must check in at Customs on Tortola before leaving the area. Nothing on St. Thomas/St. John - only on arrival on Tortola (then at St. John on the return trip from BVI).
