Hello. Does anyone know the name of a good hotel IN Charlotte Amalie to stay at.?? No hotels outside the city because of the extremely high prices of taxis. Thanks

Hello Louu,

If you want a hotel then Windward Passage Holiday Inn is really your only choice for being right in town. If you are wanting a hotel and willing to be just right outside of town you can try Emerald Beach, Island Beachcomber or Mafolie Hotel. If you are willing to stay at an inn or bed and breakfast you could try Crystal Palace for a historical inn/b&b or Bellavista Bed & Breakfast. There are a few other guest houses/inns in town.

Islander, is HOTEL 1829 still open?

If so, Louu, I had a friend stay there Canival 2002 and they LOVED it. Right smack dab in town and looks very charming from the outside.

Yes they are still open as a hotel..... and a museum affliated with Blackbeards Castle.
