It probably would have been great. The problem we ran into was getting everyone to hold their own reservation with a credit card. I guess one guy bailed and booked on a different charter so the deal fell through. Hopefully Doug can get on a charter when we come back. We are going to try and come back in December.

Our heart started aching to come back to STT as we sat in the airport...and the saga continues!

BIG TIME BUMMER! I was so looking forward to your fishing report 🙁 Let me know if and when you go back in December and maybe I can talk Chuck into going back down! I would never do what you experienced. Rarely have I ever met a man (or woman for that matter) on the stream that wasn't trustworthy.

Shame on them!

I do hope you had an enjoyable vacation in spite of the lost fishing trip....*-)

Our trip was fantastic. We are starting to save with the next paycheck to get us back ASAP! We decided we need to come down at least once a year now until we can do more! Our heart is in STT. People just don't understand. I have people asking me to take trips to other destinations but I have no interest. 😀

I understand. My husband Chuck asked me what I wanted for my 50th Birthday. A cruise? Europe? San Francisco (my favorite US city)? San Antonio (my second favorite US city) ? No I said, I want to go to St. Thomas. We have been there at least 10 times. Always, by ship. We have never stayed there more than 8 hours at one time. But each time I've left port, I had an aching in my heart. No, I don't shop. I hate it. What I love is the people (most of them anyway), and Magen's Bay. On a busy day or a quiet one, Magen's Bay brings me peace like I have never known. Several years ago while we were there, during a quiet day, I was swimming in the water as the pelican's were feeding. They would fly over my head and perform their aerobatic dive into the ocean. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

I am so looking forward to experiencing Magen's daily! I am also looking forward to Coki Beach as I love to snorkel....

I'm so happy your vacation was wonderful. I have absolutely no doubt that ours will be as well. 13 days and counting!

Ok - I am bad!

I like the Greek Islands better. When my wife and got married we had enough money to go to a Super 8 with 7/11 next door. She said on our 25th anniversary she wanted to be in the Greek Islands.

I remembered - she did not! We went! It was worth waiting for 25 years. Hope we do not wait that long again.

But maybe it was a one time memory, not to be confused with the USVI. A place we love to go regularly.

Right now it is 8 days and counting!

BOO...:P

Seriously Greek Isle's are beautiful! I can relate to the Hotel 8 - 7/11 line...Perhaps we will pass each other on the ferry the day Chuck and I snorkel St. John!

I checked out your Villa....awesome! Have a wonderful fun filled vacation!

Aw man! Sorry the trip fell through. I know you all worked really hard to put it together, I'm sure it was a disappointment.

Oh well, maybe next time.

I know how you guys feel - I feel the same way about STX. People don't understand why we come twice a year for least 30 days.
