I WILL BE FLYING INTO ST THOMAS FOR THE FIRST TIME ON SEPT 9.
IS THERE ANY REASON TO BELIEVE THAT I WILL BE WELCOMED BY A HURRICANE. IS ST THOMAS IN A WARNING AREA NOW? SOMEONE WITH WEATHER KNOWLEDGE PLEASE EMAIL ME.

THANKS

SHERRY

Hello Sherry

It is too far out to make any predictions (even the best weather predictions don't cover more than 4 days). I would not worry too much about meeting up with a hurricane. As a judge, consider that there have been more storms this year than ever and none have gone by the USVI.
If you are concerned from financial side (a lot of money for a vacation) you might consider purchasing travel insurance. Other than that, don't be too concerned.

Sherry: Also, if you watch the Weather Channel at 10 before the hour, you can see the Tropical Update. If any weather is coming our way, we usually find out about it there, if not on one of the weather websites.
