Looks like the hubby and I will be traveling back to STT on or around the 26th of this month. I've never spent Halloween on the island, is there any place special that we should go? Anyone else going to be in town? I think that we have a small group going to do a potluck dinner at the beach (haven't decided what one yet) anyone else who will be in town is welcome to join us.

Looking forward to Anna's food at the Toad and Tart and Amy's breakfast quiche at Picasso's, snorkeling at Trunk, hiking to Waterlemon, ladies night at Duffy's, hot wings at the Caribbean Saloon, buying knock off purses at the straw market for my daughters, drinking the shot of "Roots" at Fungi's and living to tell about it, having a chocolate shake at Utter Delight to finish off the perfect afternoon at Magen's, going over to the BVI's for the day and snorkeling at Norman Island, appetizers at Fat Turtle, sunset cocktails at Paradise Point, snuggling up with my husband (we are traveling alone this time!), finally relaxing on the beach and starting the new Dan Brown book that I bought a few weeks ago, possibly rent one of those "Noah's Little Arcs" and find any hidden beaches for a lazy afternoon picnic lunch, and a romantic dinner at Romano's.

Let me know if I left anything out or if you have any other favorite things to do on the islands.

We love Craig & Sally's in Frenchtown. Lamb Shank (if offered - Sally changes menu based on what's fresh and available) has been tremendous in the past.

I recommend almost any of the Frenchtown places -[ not McD's ] but all of the others are owner operated and depend on local support. It is easy to walk around and visit a few places - it is a safe and friendly community where people look out for each other and are helpful and co-operative.

IAMolly - a few of the bars usually do Halloween events. Duffy's usually has a lot of people in costume, there is usually a costume contest.

Also Tickles is having a Pirate Themed Halloween Party and Pirate costume contest. Live entertainment. For more information call (340) 776-1595.

Here's a link to the webcam set up at Tickles. http://204.11.159.25:253/CgiStart?page=Single&Language=0

It might be fun to watch the party.

Gerie - is that the right link for their webcam. The page that comes up asks for a username and pw?

Sorry, Islander, you are right. I must have taken the link directly from the webcam. If you go in through the home page it doesn't seem to be a problem:

Thanks for the tips. Our trip has been delayed a few weeks so I'll be trick-or-treating with the kids at home this year. I bought a child size parade dragon when I was in San Francisco for the Chinese New Year last February. My daughter and all of her little friends are so excited, I just hope that it doesn't rain, it's paper mache.

Thanks Gerie, starting on the home page the username and pw were listed so it worked this time. It is neat, you can control the camera and turn it towards the water/marina and all the way around the restaurant/bar.

IAMolly, that is a great costume for a group of kids!
