I am planning on visiting St. Thomas in early June with husband and two teenage daughters. Im interested in Kyalami villa and would like to hear of any experiences anybody has had ..good or bad. We plan on touring by rental car and would like to visit other islands. Please share any ideas and experiences with renting a car, tipping on the island and best restaurants to go to.

I know where it is but don't know anyone who has stayed there. It's on the North side of the island. You'll be near Mafolie that has a very good restaurant. Also, the restaurant at Magens Point is excellent. Lunch is wonderful at Mahogany Grill at Mahogany Run if you'll be there for golf. Nearby is a bar where lots of locals go called Sib's on the Mountain.

You might enjoy the restaurants at Frenchtown such as Alexander's Bella Blu & Hook, Line & Sinker which is casual along with many more in that area. Virgilio's downtown is excellent & is higher priced. On the North Side is another fine dining place called Old Stone Farmhouse.

Breakfast, lunch & dinner is available at Yacht Haven Grande at Wikked & it's very good with decent prices. There are lots more places to recommend. Tipping is just like you would in the States.
