Pia announced the sale on the relocation board...that is so sad!!! Who bought it? makes me think big yellow taxi's will be showing up soon!!

Yes it's official - Maho Bay Campground has been sold and the purchase was completed on December 27th 2012. No idea who the purchaser was but it closed at $13,950,000.00

The beach to 50ft above the high water mark is still public. I sure as heck hope that the new owners understand that they must (under law) allow access. I wonder how the beach access provisions are represented by the realators involved. Was the new owner led to believe that he/she/they were purchasing a private beach? Will DPNR step up and enforce the public access codes?
