Does anyone know how the recent eruption is affecting the USVI?

I'm sitting on my balcony now on the East End of STT and there's nothing noticeable.

The story in today's paper says that strong winds will keep the ash away from the USVI.

Just a story:
My husband and I were down in the VI for our honeymoon the week of July 7th, 2003 and there was an volcanic collapse in Montserrat, which covered cars and such with ash on st. thomas, although we did not see anything on St. John.
Anyway, the day after, we headed to St. Thomas to fly back home to find out that all air traffic in and out of the VI (including Puerto Rico) was halted. It took us another 2 days to get a flight out, which included a layover in Miami. It was a perfect ending to a caribbean honeymoon - being 'stuck' there for a few extra days. It was a lovely feeling being stranded in paradise and heading back to the westin on a free ferry ride!
When I eventually got back to work - the non-believing co-workers of my extended honeymoon had researched and left article print-outs of the collapse all over my office!
