Hi All

We will be returning to the VI's in May with friends that have never been. We are spending our first night in St Thomas before moving over to St John. We'll be staying at Secret Harbour again and while we enjoyed the Blue Moon, we would like to take our friends to dinner somewhere that overlooks the twinkling lights of downtown and the harbour. We would like a great view but want good food as well. I have considered three restaurants - Room With a View, Banana Tree Grill and Mafolie. We have never been to these restaurants, but I'm leaning toward RWAV since it seems to get good reviews for both food and view and I like their menu. I would appreciate your comments or suggestions if there is something else that I haven't thought of?

Thanks!

We are comming down in May and always eat at Indigo sorry to see it leave. Old Stone Farmhouse has great food but has always been a bit pricey. I didn't know Old Stone had a brunch, how much does that run? Sounds like a good idea for Mothers Day! Can't wait to get back we will be staying 2 weeks this time. I'm so tired of shoveling snow! Hope to meet up with some forum members again would be great to catch up (somewhere we could hear each other).

Another big vote for Havana Blue at the Marriott. We always manage to take at least one night there and make sure that we get a table by the open air windows. Romantic - and gorgeous, gorgeous - especially at sunset. However, if you have big eaters who don't appreciate gourmet food, you may be disappointed. In our opinion, the cuisine is beyond good, but not for the steak & potatoes kind of people.

We're big Craig & Sally's fans. It's in Frenchtown. Craig is the host and manages the wine list. Sally is the Executive Chef and creates a new menu each day. Always had a great meal there.

Cuzzins in downtown Charlotte Amalie is pretty awesome - as long as you like the creole syle food. I loved it. Wife couldn't find anything to eat - just not her style.

vi bound - thanks

I have heard MANY great reviews about that one. Less then 24 hours and I will be beach bound with my "toes in the sand". As my favorite beach guy sings ... "I need to go somewhere warm". Give me a BOAT DRINK! ha ha

Fins to the left!

Thanks
Tiffany 🙂

How much can I expect to pay at Mafolie for a family of four? We're not big drinkers at all, not even wine with dinner usually.

Here's a link to their menu. Should give you all you need to decide if it's the place for you and to budget accordingly.
