Frenchtown !- have a nice dinner at one of the many places there and visit a few others - wander down to the Square before midnite to see the fishtrap and cocoanuts drop at 1200 - usually some music as well - you can walk over to the water and see the fireworks too. Generally a peaceful and friendly gathering.
Yacht Haven -- bands ,food and drink - 50 dollars entry - Toots and the Maytalls after midnite.
Foxy's on JVD -- boat trip needed - crowded and semi-raucous scene - customs and immigration involved both ways - can be fun but no small commitment as you are on another island in another country when you decide you want to go home to bed.
Many nice dinner restaurants on STT have special menus, some with smaller parties and some have harbor views as well.
Frenchman's Reef has a special for locals with dinner, breakfast,a party and a room - don't remember the price - I think it was about 3-4 Hundred dollars for a couple.
I am sure Red Hook will be rocking at the various bars within walking distance.
No matter where you end up be careful on the road home!

red hook will be a hot place that night. I'm not sure who has already filled up for a late dinner but you might check out whale of a tail, Molly's, Caribbean saloon, Off the Hook, and if your really hard up Duffy's.
