American has dropped their afternoon flight from Miami to St T. This puts me a very late arrival after ferry boats to STJ are closed. Now I have to stay one night on St T and hop a ferry in the morning. Any recommendations for a one nighter? I would need place to get late night food and a bite to eat in the morning. Thanks

After the midnight ferry or 7PM car barge?
You do not say how late but Best Western Caribe is always a good choice. They have a restaurant and reasonable rates. Walking distance from the airport. If you are arriving around/after midnight you will probably have to make arrangements to eat or get food during your travel. Not sure of any late night eateries within the area but perhaps some locals can advise.

The last passenger ferry to STJ is midnight. What time does your flight arrive?
Everything will be closed/food-wise so suggest you pack some food for the trip
to have when you arrive. There is also the Holiday Inn located in town.

Beachcomber is next to Best Western. While they are both within walking distance of airport,
Take a Taxi! After a long flight, hauling luggage that distance is the last thing, you'll want to do.

If renting a car in STT and heading over to STJ with it you may be able to park it in Red Hook and arrange for your villa rental to arrange to pick you up and go back next day to get car, tho sounds like a hassel. Mensia's parking lot is a paid parking and there is another paid one in front of passenger ferry dock but safe. If you park anywhere else in Red Hook, you may get booted and towed so be aware. When they say, "NO PARKING", take it seriously.
Good Luck.

Betsy's Bar in Frenchtown has a Late Night Menu (10:30pm-3am). You can navigate through this site for the Dinner Menu if are arriving earlier.

Good to know. (not that I am out that late)
I was trying to think of someplace that still serves after 10PM and could not think of any, at all.
Yrs. ago, Crazy Cow was open all night but alas, no more! Best burgers ever.
Actually, everything was good.

I would have a very tiny window to meet the mn ferry, one little delay and I would miss it. I was thinking of just playing it safe and getting a room at windward (the old holiday inn) and catching the downtown ferry at 10 am. Can I walk from windward to the St. John ferry dock with my luggage? Isn't there a little bakery or donut shops in one of the alleys near windward? Can I walk to Betsy's from windward?

Windward would be fine and walkable to take downtown ferry to STJ. They have taxi's there if you don't. Believe they have a restaurant that services hotel guests but best to check when you call to make resv. If not, there's a place nearby in Frenchtown that is open early for breakfast. Dbl check the ferry schedule as depends sometimes on time of year/off season as to what;s running and when. Best to call them as well.

They flight landing changes from time to time but never too late to catch the last RH ferry. It's possible that it could arrive late though. Have met guests as late as 2am! There is RJ Latte's right across from the area where the CA ferry leaves from. Also Bumpa's a few feet east. Going to Frenchtown is counterproductive IMHO, as it's in the opposite direction. Windward Passage does have breakfast though. First ferry is at 10.

I just checked on the usual American flight that we take, and it is available in May. We will leave Miami at noon and arrive in St. Thomas at 2:30 pm Granted this year the flight was changed to arrive at 3:30 pm. We are coming from St. Louis. Is it really possible this flight would not be available to someone living in Miami?
