Looking for some info for this area. Found a villa we like called Fairwinds Villa. Any help appreciated.

Peterborg is a beautiful area. It sits on edge of Megans Bay. I have stayed at both Crosswinds and Diva in that area. Unfortunately, not Fairwinds.

I have rented Fairwinds Villa the second week in February. It's web site is amazing and reasonably priced for the area. We were skeptical but another post on this website confirmed it should be ok. Great location and view. It apparently is just not luxuriously appointed. Said there were some plastic patio furniture on the decks and by the pool. The owner has been very good in communicating with me. I can let you know more when we return.

Ed-

I had one of my STT reps visit and tour this villa a few months ago. we took pics, but they came out kind of dark for some reason. I can share them if you like. The owner is very agreeable and was gracious to take his time with us and offer the tour. The villa is a unique opportunity becasue it really was once an ultra lux level villa in one of the best locations possible. I think it was Hurricane Marilyn that damaged this villa. The villa was then sold to the current owner, who invested in rebuilding and remodeling where needed. He hasn't yet made the final turn to make it totally lux (the touches that are needed to push him into the lux category haven't been made - but he has the basic for a lux villa), so he rents it cheaper than all of the others in the area.

I like it. It gives someone without the deepest pockets the chance to stay in a grand spread on Peterborg - with a HUGE pool and incredible view. These are the kind of deals I like to look for as a traveler.

Enjoy.
