How do I get in touch with the Nat. Park service to make a reservation for the Reef Bay Trail hike? Thanks in advance!

Here is their web site: http://www.nps.gov/viis/

I am not sure it's necessary to set up an appointment to do the Reef Bay Hike, though. I have never done it myself.

Here's their telephone number: 340 776 6201

You do have to make reservations for the Park Service ranger-guided tour with boat ride. It is educational and fun...besides you don't have to do the hike back up!

Do you know what the fee is for the ranger-guided tour? I looked at the website but didn't see how to make reservations. Do you think it's enough to make reservations when we arrive at St John, or that they book up far in advance?

You make reservations by calling the number A. Davis notes above. I believe the cost is $20 and includes transportation from the Park's Visitor Center to the trail head and the boat ride back. I made same-week reservations in April.

As east ender said, $5 for the bus ride up paid to the driver, then $15 paid on the boat for the ride back.
