hmmmm..you should check the rules for the agencies. I recall reading that you had to be 21, not 25, at one pr more of the major rental agents. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago when I was renting my car and I remembered your post and thought of you. I wondered why you thought it was 25 with everyone. I rented from Avis, so check with them...but also check the others since I was checking all agents.

If you find one for under 25 yr olds, let us know which one so we can help other under 25s in the future.

I am not positive but I do think that all the agencies on St. John require 25 and that all on St. Thomas except Budget also are 25. I think Budget will rent to under 25 but for an additional deposit/fee. You'd need to take the rental over on the car barge to St. John if Budget on St. Thomas did turn out to be your only option. Again not positive so definately contact the agencies and check.

All the agencies on st. john were 25,

on st. thomas i found Thrifty car rental would charge and extra $10 above the cost of the car per day for under 25.

i believe most of the "brand" (avis, budget, ect) will rent to under 25 but charge about $25 extra per day for the car and i believe the insurance is also high

Cool - so you can rent a car if you are under 25 (on STT anyway)...but you just have to pay more. Seems that they shuld just force you to get insurance instead of charging you more on the rental, but.....whatever.

Check with Dependable Car Rental on St. Thomas. They have always been very helpful.
