Weather reports look pretty bleak for the next week. I know you can't always trust them but no signs of sun in them at all after Saturday. How is the weather down there right now compared to the reports? Are the mosquitoes as bad as they sound? Can still cancel for this week and reschedule -- looking for some local advice. Thanks for your input.

I'm on STX and here right now 4:30 pm it's partly cloudy. We did get some rain today, but it comes and goes. I certainly wouldn't cancel unless the weather has a name - Wilma, Omar, Andrew - you get the idea!

Not island but standard answer...
30% chance of rain means 70% chance without. Most rain is 15-30 minutes so why worry. If there is a name associated with the storm, that's why they have travel insurance but not to worry until August.
