I need some help with finding a car rental on STT.

One of the girls going with me to STJ is going a little early to explore around STT. She is coming Tuesday and taking a cab to the Best Western near the airport just for that night. Wednesday she is going to Point Pleasant, where she'll stay until Saturday, when she'll take the passenger ferry to STJ.

She was asking where I recommended for a car rental. I have only worked with Discount, but I'm not really that familiar with where everything is on STT. I thought I had heard there was a place to rent/return your car in Red Hook and I'm wondering if that makes more sense if she is taking the passenger ferry on Saturday. Or should she get a car near the airport and then just cab it to Red Hook.

Can anyone recommend a company/strategy for this leg of her trip?

Thanks!

Lulu, I really like discount. I would call and ask for Austin for some assistance. They really good with customer service.

If she rents at or around the airport she could return it Saturday morning and take the 9:00AM downtown ferry to St John. Or the 5:30PM if she wants the day on STT. I'm sure that the car rental agency would give her a ride to the downtown terminal. Cheers!

Well, and once she gets to the airport, she can always hop in a taxi to Red Hook if she wants to take a later ferry. As long as it's running I'm hoping to take the downtown ferry this year. I just prefer it to the other, although I do like the fancy new terminal.

Don't know when you're coming but until November the CA/STJ ferry is running only those two.

Well, we are coming in November, but I was told not to count on the ferry being back to its full schedule by then.

My plane gets in at 4:30, so I should be able to take the 5:30 ferry over. That is the plan, at least.
