Are there any beaches on St. John with waves large enough to surf - we'll be there in Feb.
Thanks

No, the USVI waters are relatively calm.

If you want to try windsurfing you can check with West Indies Windsurfing (340-775-6530) on St. Thomas.

Come over to St Thomas and go to Hull Bay. My neighbor, who is a young guy from SoCal, surfs there regularly.

I've seen some surfers at Hull Bay and at Caret Bay but whether or not it is worth it to bring your board down here on vacation depends on your skill level. The waves here are very tame compared to California and Hawaii so if you tend to surf challenging places you will likely be bored surfing here.
