Taxi at St.Croix?

I'm going to have some diving at St.Croix but apparently I need to take care about transportation to and from diveshop.
What a taxi fare for one person could be between Chenay Bay and Christiansted? Is it easy and realistic to find a cab in front of Chenay Bay resort at 8 AM?

The resort can call a cab for you. You will NOT find one just passing by in front of the resort. Cost should be around $10/12 one way.
