No, unfortunately, though rumors pop up every now and then that renovations and re-opening are imminent. I can't see any signs of progress, though from the road.

With the current state of the economy there are no expectations of anything happening there in the near future.

I heard that the Wyndham purchased it and were going to make it into Wyndham timeshares. Last July I met a woman who moved here to manage the sales of the timeshares. Haven't seen much happening though.

Wyndham purchased it over a year ago.

I heard Wyndham did purchase it and either seem to change build out plans often which slows the conversion to timeshares and as someone mentioned, the economy now has to have alot to do with it. It would of course be a nice boost to keep improving the Smith Bay area.

We always stay at the Point Pleasant and have been saddened by how dilapidated and scary it looks down there. At night it just seems so dark and creepy. We usually walk along the beach to get to Coki Beach. The beach is not maintained at all.

What a shame.

The sign outside the property now says "Pineapple" - bet they are flipping over to condos/timeshares just like the area on the road to Coki.

The Rennasance will be the time share operation for Wyndam. But there is currently very little market for timeshares down here. So they wil need to sit on the 29M that they paid for the property. There is nothingn going on. Nothing!!!
