We are visiting St. Thomas this weekend, arriving there on sat 09/24. Just read about a tropical storm building up that is likely to hit US VI on Sunday. Does anyone have any more details on this? Would it be worthwhile to postpone our trip?

There has been nothing said about T/S Ophelia, "likely to hit USVI on Sunday" and everything at this early stage of the game is purely speculative. This is a good site to watch if something is on the horizon as it's specifically geared to our area:

As far as canceling your trip is concerned, that's a call which only you can make. This scenario is absolutely typical for this time of year which is the height of hurricane season and why we recommend that visitors take out trip insurance. Pack plenty of sunscreen!
