Hi everyone...

Just wondering if anyone has stayed in Villa Carolina and your thoughts. We will be traveling to STJ with 3 youngish children (youngest is 6) and this villa seemed to fit the bill as the bedrooms are all under 1 roof with an internal staircase. It looks great on the website, but would love a second...or third opionion. Thanks for your help!

Hi Bill...

I wish I was you right now!!! We aren't arriving until April (this is my 40th birthday present), so I have a looooong wait. We rented through Caribbean Days, although I have seen the villa listed through other agencies. Who did you rent through? I am so excited to hear your "report!"

I was quite a process looking for something where all of the bedrooms were under one roof... my children are 10, 7 and 5, but I think we will be happy with the choice...If the websites are accurate, the villa looks beautiful! Are you finding it inconvenient to be in Coral Bay? How was the drive up?

Soooo many questions!! It will be nice to hear a report from someone traveling with a younger family so similar to our own.

Enjoy your stay!!!!

Hi,
New to this board. We are looking for a villa for 2 couples in the Upper Carolina, Coral Bay area. Villa Carolina was one of our choices.
Can you tell me about the views? The Coral Bay villas have dynamic views and I know that this is not as close as some of the other villas. Can you see the water and the islands, or are they in the distance?
I would appreciate any info. you could give me.

We are just now planing a quick trip to St John and Villa Carolina is on our short list. We will be traveling one month from now with my sister and her 8 yr old twins.
Just sent you an e-mail and if you would prefer to reply here that would be fine.
We are also looking at Spellbound and Kalaloo, if anyone has any information on those.

Hi,
I was looking at villa Carolina for May 2008. Hope you can answer some questions for me.

Are there screens on the windows? I am concerned about the mosquitos. Was this a problem for you?
The villa looks beautiful. We will be two couples, no kids. Most importantly, what kind of view do you get.
I like a nice unabstructed water view. Is the water way in the distance, which it looks like in the pictures.
If you have any pictures of the villa and its not a problems, could you e-mail them to me.

I really appreciate any info. you can share about this villa.

Hi all....

I started this topic back in the summer when we were wrestling with all of our villa choices. We ended up chosing this villa because we liked having 3 bedrooms under one roof with an internal staircase, since we are travelling with our three children. I would also love to hear more specifics if anyone out there has stayed there recently. From the pictures, it certainly doesn't look like there are screens on the windows, but it's hard to say. In the meantime, I will be there next month, so I will be sure to give you a full update as soon as I return. I can't wait!!!! Does anyone know if there is any construction around this villa right now? Not that there's much I can do about it, but I'm not much for surprises...

One month and counting....

We've stayed at Villa Carolina two times. We absolutely love it. The view is amazing and sooooo expansive. It's always spotlessly clean and the owners do a great job with the upkeep. It's very well maintained. They started managing themselves a couple of years ago, and what a difference from the big rental companies. It's so much more of a personal experience dealing directly with the owners.

I know you'll love the place, it's just a matter if it's the right size for your group. All three bedrooms are private and they are all under one roof, so that makes it good for children because you're not headed out to different structures to sleep. The location is also very cool. Totally private and quiet, yet very convenient to Coral Bay and the beaches. We can't say enough good things.

Anyway, check it out. You won't be disappointed. We'll be back next year!

They just revamped their website. Great pictures and info. WWW.VILLACAROLINA-STJOHN.COM

Coconutz, this thread was started July 05, 2007 and the last entry (before you added your post) was over a year ago March 10, 2008. Looks like you may be researching for your next trip and that's wonderful. Just keep in mind the date of the post/conversation when you're cruising the historical records before you post a message.
