walking from Secret Harbour Beach Resort to Red Hook

Hi
I am trying not to rent a car, is it possible to walk to Red Hook from this resort? I see it is less than one mile but I do know roads can be dangerous there for walking.

There are no sidewalks and the roads are narrow with cars, trucks and vans whizzing by between Secret Harbour and main road so if you must walk, be very careful. It's not too bad once you get on the main road as it's much wider but I wouldn't do it at night, at all on either road.

You will limit yourself without a rental car and if you have to take taxis back and forth for everything you'll wish to do, you may as well rent one.

Walking from Secret Harbour to Red Hook is downhill.
There are no sidewalks and the bush is right on the road.
Very dangerous to walk, even single file.

Unless you really plan on not leaving to explore the island you will surely pay more in cab fare than if you rented a car.
