Hello everyone -

I have a question for you...what's the weather like in St. Thomas end of September? We are considering an anniversary trip around that time, but I am concerned about hurricanes. I am from New Mexico where the worst type of weather is a mild dust storm. I realize that weather can't be predicted but it also seems that August-September is the season for hurricanes in the Caribbean . Can anyone out there help me with this decision? Should we wait till October/November or will it probably be okay? Thank you for your help.

Debbie:

Tough question...........weather is difficult to predict anywhere.....even in NM.......yes, September is the "H" season (note: we never use the actual word here, it's bad luck)........you will take your chances by going during this season, but bad H's are rare.

On the "bright" side the prices are lower during the "low" season, so bargains are available.

Hope this helps.
