Has anyone had sandals made for them from Zoras. We will be there long enough for them to be made for us. I remember stopping there while we were on a cruise. But that time we were only there for a day. This time we will be on USVI for 2 weeks

Years ago I had sandals made at Zora's. I did so because I have an unusually high instep and thought custom made sandals might solve the problem I had getting a comfortable fit

Wrong!

The sandals killed my feet. I went back and Zora dusted my feet with baby powder.,jammed my feet in, and told me they would stretch. Wrong again!

I gave them to my son a few years ago and he tried them and finally threw them out.

All that having been said, I know others that swear by her sandals.

I guess my advice would Be to insist she adjust or remake the sandal if it doesn't fit.

I bought mine about 4 years ago...still wear 'em...super comfortable...the break-in process that she recommends must be STRICTLY adhered to. It was a couple week process, but well worth it..and she warranty's these forever! Highly recommended.

For people with hard-to-fit feet, her shoes are very popular, because there aren't many other local options for finding shoes that will fit. Some people have complained about the arch support (or lack thereof), but I heard she's done something to address that problem.

Since thong-type sandals are so popular these days, Zora's gives you an opportunity to get strappy sandals that are to me more secure than the slide-ins.

If you live in a warm climate where you can wear sandals for the majority of the year, they're worth the investment.

As to comfort, she made mine really tight, but they did stretch out like any other leather shoe.

I purchased a pair of sandals from Zora approximately two years ago. They look new and I'm still breaking them in. However I was told it would take time since they aren't worn often. I think you should visit Zora . Look around at the various samples and then make a decision. You can choose the type of leather and color you would like your sandal to be. Your measurements are kept on file for further orders you might make. (tu)
