We booked out trip!!! We will be on St. Thomas 5/5/05 for four days for our wedding.
We finally decided on the Wyhdam Sugar Day . Next step is to decide to use their
wedding coordinator or a local company? Has anyone used this resort for a wedding?
Our wedding is a small party of 6, simple ceromony but want something nice and
beautiful . I have a fear on being overlooked with such a small party at the reosrt.
Suggestions on wedding companies?

Congratulations!! The USVI are the PERFECT place to get married!!!

We married while on a cruise in March 2003. While the cruise was in port at St Thomas, we went to St John to marry on Hawksnest Beach. I highly recommend this beach, but of course it is not on St Thomas (not sure if you are looking at marrying at the resort). However, the courthouse you will use is on St Thomas (if marrying on St Thomas or St John).

Here is who we used:
Coordinator: http://www.usviwedding.com/
Reception Catamaran (chartered): http://www.adventurervi.com/
Cake: http://www.stjohnchef.com/
Flowers: http://www.eastendflowershop.net/
Photographer: http://www.virginislandsphoto.com/
Videographer: http://www.youmaynow.com/
Minister: Rev. Emmanuel Jaggernauth

Pics are in my profile. 🙂

My friend Tracy got married at the Sugar Bay Wyndham and loved it! Her wedding was gorgeous. I think the used the coordinator there.

I got married in the USVI and used Weddings the Island Way, and they did a FABULOUS job on our wedding with only a week's notice. (We decided on a whim after a year long engagement to "just do it" but couldn't stand the thought of eloping when most of our friends were on island, so we got some help). We got married at home (the view from our house is amazing!) with 50 guests and enough food for an army. Our coordinator's name was Jessica, though this has been 6 years ago, so I wonder if she is still there.

I highly recommend them!

And congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Hey Doreen,
We just got back from our wedding and honeymoon in St Thomas last week. I did a lot of research, and a lot of checking around with different coordinators. I finally went with who I decided was best for us. We also had a small group. I can't say enough about my wedding coordinators. They held my hand every step of the way. They understood my needs, gave me what I wanted , actually more than I expected, and even met me personally at the courthouse to get my marriage license. My wedding was so beautiful and the service I received was better than I ever imagined. The wedding coordinators are now my friends for life, as is the minister. Some may be good, but they are the best the Caribbean has to offer.

I have even read of people staying on St Thomas and having their wedding on St John... almost like a "destination" wedding of sorts.

Hi Deneen,

We are also looking to book our marriage 12/05 and after researching for quite a while, I think we are going to go with Wyndham as well. Please let me know how did yours go...

Congratulations!

Olga, did you try the Frenchman's Reef? I got married at the Mariott's Frenchman Reef in October, it was perfect. The wedding coordinator was so helpful and wonderful to work with. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. St. Thomas is the perfect place to get married.
