Looking for a Caribbean band for a wedding reception at Caneel Bay Resort on June 6 Th. To keep with the theme of a destination wedding, would prefer music unique to the Islands. Any recommendations?

Most weddings with an island theme generally hire a steel pan player. You might want to check St John School of the Arts, http://stjohnschoolofthearts.org/, for recommendations/ideas.

Caneel used to have a steel pan band playing for their Sunday brunch. You may want to ask if they're available.

Koko and the Sunshine Band play more folk/traditional music referred to as fungi or quelbe music. They used to play at The Westin.

I recommend CSN Band. Great little island band with about 5 members (including a steel pan). You can give them a call Michael at 340.643.0751 Michael is a great guy, and as an extra bonus, his 'day job' is at Caneel, so he knows everyone there and knows the property extremely well. Congratulations to the bride and groom! Hope you have a great time.
