Coming in October for son's wedding. Want to know if there is anywhere on the island to purchase sparklers for the evening ceremony.
Seems we cannot transport by plane and mainland companies will not ship to St. Thomas? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

No, sorry. I contacted the biggest "party" store on STT and they advised that sparklers are illegal here.

how about "glow sticks" those are really fun!
my daughter had sparklers in Calif. I can totally understand though about not being able to have them on the islands--too much of a fire hazard.
glow sticks, glow necklaces- try Oriental Trading

I think candles would be more romantic than glowsticks.

candles---still a potential fire hazard. Many of the large venues here in Calif have very strict rules about using candles, indoors, outdoors, it doesn't matter. The fire codes and regulations restrict them.

You should check out the venues rules and policies to see what they will allow, then go from there. Congrats, I am sure it will be a beautiful day!

Have them shipped to the wedding planner. You can order them on many wedding websites. Have the sparklers shipped USPS Priority mail. I had many wedding clients do so without Amy issues!

I think they are against the law in the USVI and will be confiscated if found.

Not a good suggestion. As noted previously they're illegal here and it's unlikely that any reputable wedding planner would want to get involved. A bit of a bust it would be if the wedding party were busted ...
