Are the whales still migrating in April? Can anyone recommend a day sail that will take us to see them if so? Or, also dolphins?

Unfortunately you'll be rather too late. The humpbacks migrate February/March, the whale watching expeditions have come and gone and I haven't heard of any sightings in the last couple of weeks. You might be lucky to see dolphins on a day sail (and you should definitely do a day sail!) but a dolphin sighting will be a rare added bonus and not anything you can depend upon.
