My sister and I are coming down the 1st week of March and was wondering if we need to bring sweatshirts or long-sleeved shirts or capris for nite? Does it get chilly at all in the evenings? Really want to wear shorts and flip-flops the whole time. Really getting tired of putting on long undewear, boots, etc. every time you want to venture out. Looking so foward to getting out of this long, cold, snowy Wisconsin winter. Thanks for info.

jan: You may want a light wrap at night. If you have been in the sun all day, it seems chilly when the sun sets!

Jan,

We were down for three weeks in Feb.

My wife and I found it to be comfortable in the evenings for the first week but then found it slightly cool in the evenings as the trip went on.

It all has to do with your body adjusting to the constant 75 at night 85 during the day.

I would love to be a weatherman in the VI's, same thing every day.

I wear capris and a zip up sweatshirt or light sweater on the plane. That way I have them if needed. I usually don't need it when we travel in April. After baking in the sun all day, I am usually pretty warm at night.

That said, depending on where you are staying you may get great breezes and find you need a little something for the evenings.

March is a great time of year here. I would bring just a light sweater just in case you need it, but I doubt it!
Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Jan Murray,
Well, I don't know where you're from, but St.John is bound to be a bit warmer than home!
Don't overpack! Wear what's comfortable enough on the way down-temperature permitting-, and wear the same ensemble on the way home.
(Holy-Moly. I just said "Ensemble"...)
As so many others have said, fold all of your clothes for the vaca, and leave 1/2 of them at home.
You can always find what you may need on STJ.
You're going to love it! -Just look for bargains, as my sweet Amy has found some great deals...
Good luck, and always
Smiles-
MJ

For women, a pair of light weight long pants sometime come in handy too.
