Does anyone know exactly where the ferry to St. Johns is located (in relation to where the Caraval cruise ships dock) in Charolette Amel? We are coming there between sept 10-14 and want to catch the ferry.

Have you been here before? The ferry stops on the Waterfront directly across the street from AH Riise building where their fountain is.

BUT, the ferry from town sometimes suspends operations during the slow months, so you should check shortly before your trip or plan on taking the Red Hook ferry. The Red Hook ferry's schedule is consistent and reliable. The town schedule is iffy.

I have been there before. I'm not sure where that building is though. I'm guessing in the downtown area? I have taken the red hook ferry before, but just missed the one I wanted because of traffic and had to wait another hour + for the next one. Thanks for the information.I appreciate it.

I'll try to remember to post here again after Labor Day so I can let you know if the schedule changes. But if you're walking on the Waterfront on the sidewalk that's along the water, you'll see a chained off section, with I think, a bench with some shaded covering. The ferry stop is near there, but the ferry to the Marriott also stops near there.

So, check back after Labor Day! I'll take a picture of the waiting area, though, tomorrow so I'll have it to post in case the ferry is running in Sep so you'll know what it looks like.

If someone posts in any Virgin Islands forum about a St John(X), I assume they mean St John, US Virgin Islands and respond based on St John, US Virgin Islands.St John US Virgin Islands.

Along the waterfront in town there are 2 covered (white with writing) benches (brown painted) and white plastic looking chainlink roped off areas for lines for the ferries. Like ms411 said, it is right across the street from the AH Riise store, which has big black letters on it's building (beige color), so it is pretty easy to find. Plus the store has flag poles in front.
Hope this helps.
