I am considering moving to one of the islands as a U.S. citizen in VA. for 6 months out of the year.
I prefer peace and quite as opposed to a party atmosphere, yet desire some conveniences of groceries and internet access.

Please provide opinions about which of the islands would be best for a couple to purchase a small condo/villa for $2-300k.
Thank you...

This is such a personal decision, no one can help very much. I suggest you spend some time on each island before you make a choice and CERTAINLY bfore you pruchase anything.

I second Ric's opinion.

Personally, I'd recommend that you check out: Sapphire Beach on STT. It's one of the nicest beach, peaceful and yet, conveniently close to everything: shopping, groceries, restaurants, and Red Hook which is the departing point to other islands.
