We are coming to STT in a month. What is going on with the Zika virus in the VI? We are too old for pregnancy, and no family is pregnant, nor co workers, but the press about this issue in the US is a bit overwhelming right now.

Just bring some bug spray with you and enjoy your vacation.
No reported cases in STT as yet.
There are are reported cases stateside as well as PR.
Mosquitoes are attracted to dark colored clothing.

In your case as no pregnancy is there, you shouldn't be worrying. As Alana suggested, take precautions for mosquito. You can use mosquito repeal cream just like sunscreen.
Apply it everyday. or you also can get that kind of bands to wear, which will keep them away.
Have a nice vacation. Stay safe.

Neither Zika nor any other norovirus has never caused microcephaly (shrunken head syndrome). The cause is the contamination the water supply by neurotoxic larvicides. This explains why cases of microcephaly are not widespread across Brazil or South America, but have been limited to isolated communities in Brazil. The chemicals you put on your body to prevent mosquito bites are more dangerous than Zika. Do not believe the propaganda parrots with the corporate media cartel.
