Thanks, Molly!

Do any of us want to set a time at Molly M's? Or we can try Anna's if we can hook up a ride for you guys. We will have a car....I hope. The 14th and 15th should be fairly free for us.......as long as we don't have the flight problems we had last year. It shouldn't be too bad. We are leaving directly from Philly.

We took a commuter flight to Philly last year. Our plane was di-iced and we were ready to take off early, but Philly put a ground stop on. We never learned why. It was dry as a bone there. Missed our connection....got rumble seats to Miami......sat in Miami for several hours.........finally arrived in STT at 1 a.m. ish. We were supposed to be there early in the afternoon. They even kept the airport open for our flight. I wonder if anyone else is here who was on that flight.

It coulda been worse. That was the day the USAir flight went down in the Hudson.

The 14th would work better for us and Sapphire mentioned as well that she is busy on the 15th. We will be spending the night of the 13th in San Juan and taking the early morning flight to STT. What is a good time for you? We usually like to take a mini nap and shower up after we hit the beach.

Sorry to hear about your flight delay last time. Did they let you know about the USAir flight while you were still in the air? I'm a nervous flyer myself so I already take an anti anxiety medicine anytime I fly, that would totally throw me over the edge.

Our worst flight: It took us 28 hours to get to Costa Rica on what was supposed to take 8-1/2 hours. To make matters worse, when we were stuck in Dallas we couldn't get access to our luggage because it had already gone through customs. Couldn't wait to shower and change clothes when we finally arrived.

Second worse flight: We were in Venice last year and Alitalia filed for bankruptcy so our flights were cancelled. We were a little worried about getting home but then they put us on a KLM flight. Best flight that I ever had. Delicious meals, free drinks, hot towels to freshen up, you name it they provided it.

Should we start a new post and see who all would like to join us?

Yeah....starting new thread sounds good! Let's shoot for the 14th and keep it informal. I will go out on a limb and guess that the last thing any of us want is pressure. 😉 As a group we'll just pick a time and place. Whoever shows, shows. Early evening sounds good. 6/7ish? Or whatever works best for others. We are flexible.

I found out about the New York flight as when we got to Miami. I had promised to call my daughter when we landed in STT. We were being held on the grounded plane around 3ish, so I took the wait time to make the call. Just as we connected I told her that we had changes and were on the plane in Miami, Then the captain announced that we should disembark. I told my daughter that they were moving us off the plane, and I would call her as soon as I could. Wellllll, at the time it seemed like complete information. 😮

As we entered the terminal I had one hysterical, pregnant, hormone overloaded daughter on my cell phone. She kept trying to call me. She is a teacher, and the staff was sitting in her classroom watching the rescue on the Hudson. Just as we hung up from the first call they saw what was happening on TV. There were no reports about it at the Miami airport. I was talking with the people who were checking our bags a couple of hours later. They knew nothing......weren't aware anything had happened. We waited in Miami until after 10 pm. I don't even recall anything on the TVs there.

I'm not crazy about flying either, but I'm getting more used to it. The most trouble I have is flying back from England/Ireland. I gotta have a window seat. We take late night flights, but I can't sleep. Last trip we came back on Virgin. Lots of comforts, but I still felt really unwell. My luggage got lost in Dallas coming back from Cabo. Not real thrilled with connections in Dallas.

Hi everyone,
We are back sadly from our 5 rainy days in STT. We never made it to the Baths,
2 attempts, and rain rain rain.
We drove the island, visited Agave, shopped and have great memories to take us through
the rest of the winter.
Would love somebody to let us know of any condos for sale in Sapphire, it was just beautiful.

To all our new friends at MM please keep in touch, we had a great time.
Would love to see you all again.
Safe trip home.

Jennifer and Gregg Haraka
