My daughter is having a destination wedding on Magens Bay in St. Thomas on 6/18/2009. I know this is probably a very warm time, but she is a teacher and only time she could plan it. Being so far away (Michigan) I have so many questions! Do you think Magens Bay will be too crowded with cruise ships during the wedding at 11:00 a.m.? I am going thru the wedding planners- Weddings the Island Way and using Blue Glass Photography- has anyone heard anything about either of these? We want to do something special after the wedding, we are having a reception when we return, so I don't mean a reception thing, I want something special, memorable. Any ideas? Her Fiance's last name is Hawks, so we thought about taking the ferry to Hawksnest for the day(it was too complicated to have the wedding there) Could we take the ferry in our wedding attire and change somewhere when we get to Hawksnest? Are there any restaurants, there? Are there bathrooms on the beach? I would appreciate and love any comments and advice anyone could give. There will be 11 people. I want this day to be very special for my Daughter, very memorable!

Yes klsherrick , Nice pictures! Thanks for sharing! I love this website, you guys are the best!!! My Daughter has decided on Magens Bay! I can't wait to share the wedding pictures with everyone when we return. I will definitely post a trip report! And after my visit, hopefully I will be able to help someone else, like all of you have helped me!

Hey is Sherri the same Sherri that emailed me regarding car rentals, when I had emailed Tina at Weddings the Island Way?? Just wondering??? If you are and you work with Tina, I can't wait to meet you girls!

Thanks,
Nancy

Just curious about the photos taken by Alain at Blue Glass which were posted as representative of his work. Maybe the choice of photos didn't do justice, but they seemed so BLAH in comparison to so many other wedding pics taken over so many years and even those posted here. Cheers!

Nancy,
Yes, this is the same Sherri! 😉 i rarely work in the office, but go in a little here and there to help Tina out with e-mails! Your car questions were right up my alley as i spend a lot of time at the airport and at the car rental agencies when I do villa arrivals. Mostly, I simply do the weddings which is the easier, most enjoyable part, Tina does the hard part. She is good at what she does! It would be nice to meet you!
