We will be arriving on Friday and staying on STJ at Gallows. I was wondering about Watermelon and how to get there. I saw where you have to hike a little bit to get there and is the snorkeling there dangerous with currents and such.

Took a break from packing..ughhh...poured a glass of wine..yeah..and decided to check the forum.

I am assuming you will be renting a vehicle for your stay? Real simple, follow North Shore Road east until you reach signs for Annaberg Sugar Mill ruins. There is a parking lot at the bottom of the Mill. You will see the hiking trail between the waters edge and the road. It is a relatively flat 0.8 mile trail to the beach. The snorkeling is easy around Waterlemon Cay but sometimes the water can get rough when you travel around the north side of the Cay (the side opposite of the bay). The west side of the Cay has great snorkeling and is generally protected from currents. Have fun and enjoy your trip!
