This is what I have planned so far. 1 week at Secret Harbor. I have 6 full days not including arrival and return. 1 will be spenting 1 day doing the BVI and it seems at least another 2 days for St. John. That leaves me with 3 remaining days. I was going to rent a car for a week but that will be 3 days of not using. I have been reading that parking is a problem at Red Hook for the ferry.

Anybody know how much it will cost from the airport to Secret Harbor for a taxi? Not on the board for Secret Harbor.

ha ha EE!

Yeah, if they spelled it Harbor, they'd have to reduce the rates 🙂

So, how did you like taking a car over to SJ? I am think about doing that one day to see more of the island on our own.
BTW we will be at SHBR 6/3-10 and I want to do 2 days on SJ AND go to BVI to see the Baths too. I need advise about getting to the Baths too.

A little tough getting into line and onto the ferry (both ways), but it worked out fine.

OH MY GOD! I leave 15 weeks from today. I can't wait. One of the reasons I picked Secret Harbour was from this message board. I had read from several people that stayed there that the snorkeling was good. Looks like no reason to go else where on St. Thomas. Any good snorkeling spots on St. John that is easy to get too.

Dawn, take a look at this beach guide for St. John. They give all the details on how to get to each beach and what kind of snorkeling to expect. Haven't been yet so I can't give you any personal recommendations. Search this board for snorkeling St. John. Currently you will get 678 hits. There are so many beaches for snorkeling you will want to plan another week long trip just to snorkel St. John. You can get to most of the beaches by taxi or if you time it right there is a $1 bus that goes in circles around the island. Some beaches require hiking to get to and a few you would need a four wheel drive to get to.

I sent you a private message a few days ago and it shows that you didn't get it yet. I am the other planner.

I don't know how to get a private message. I have never used a message board until this one. How do I get it?

Great website. I have bookmarked. Now I can plan out my day of what beaches to go to for snorkeling while on St. John.

On the main message board there is a bold letter row called Forum Tools. The 5th underlined bullet is titled Private Messages. Click on that. That brings up an Inbox. Click on the message and it comes up. Sort of like when you get email message.

I just found your private message. As soon as I get some work done this AM I will get back. It is a good thing it is not busy here at work because I am spending much to much time on this board.

Thank you
