St. Thomas or St. Croix in December

Hello everyone - I am planning a birthday trip to either St. Thomas or St. Croix during the second week in December. Any suggestions on where to stay? I was considering the Wyndam in St. Thomas but that's as far as I got.

Also, what is the weather and water temperature like during that time of the year? Thanks...

Hello Kelli,

Wyndham is a nice resort for St. Thomas. The weather in December is warm & sunny for the most part (very much like the rest of the year). It is a little cooler in December, like it might get to 76 or so at night 😉 brrrrrr. Look at the top of this page on the right side, there is a link to Weather - you will find average temperatures for each month there, along with rainfall info, water temps. You might consider ordering the Explore the VI guidebook shown at the top of this page to help get you familiar with the islands so that you can decide between St. Thomas and St. Croix and also to help with your plans.
