RE: How ti relocate to the USVI! | 0 Relevance | 3 months ago | Lostinthesauce | Travel Message Board
Greetings, St. Thomas is more touristy and condense. St. Croix is bigger, less touristy but improving. Less friendly...though none are really friendly. St. John more white upperclass, smallest and maybe more close nit overall. Ask away.

Steel Pan Drum Band performing in St Croix | 0 Relevance | 3 months ago | DFWildcat | Travel Message Board
we are here in St Croix for another week and half and we want to see a steel pan drum band perform. Where can we watch them? We went to the Buccaneer Mermaid Restaurant today because a website said they were performing 11-2 but they weren’t there.
RE: Anyone remember PineApple Beach ? | 0 Relevance | 4 months ago | rscottie | Travel Message Board
We honeymooned at Pineapple Beach in 1971. The condos were so neat and the beaches were wonderful. One spectacular beach nearby was Coco Beach. The owner charged a quarter to use it for a day. There were no car rentals but you could get an island driver's license for $1.00. We rented a Honda motorcycle for a week and traveled everywhere. The resort was owned by the Pepperdines from the Philadelphia area. I heard they met misfortune a few years later when the islands were in disarray. One restaurant we liked was the Brittany Inn which was in town. I'm not sure there are cottages with the same comfortable features any more.

Before embarking on your day trip, make sure to check the current transportation options and schedules, as they may be subject to change. Additionally, consider the timing of your return to Cruz Bay to ensure that you can catch transportation back to the ferry terminal or your accommodation.
RE: WARNING! WARNING! DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS CAR RENTAL | 0 Relevance | 4 months ago | Cswiley | Travel Message Board
I 100% agree This Avis is my worst experience in over 10 years of renting. My reservation was cancelled. I’ve never had a reservation due to a two hour cancellation policy and never heard of it. I’ve not been able to find this policy anywhere in my reservation or the links provided in my reservation. Unfortunately it seemed everyone who was in my flight and rented from Avis was a victim of this policy. I was told there were no more cars. That was it. So after finding my own reservation and proving they actually cancelled my reservation, I was told they might have a Nissan Versa. I rented a Nissan Rogue for $544.94. My only option was the Versa for $700. I asked if they would honor my discount code or my Presidents circle status. I was told that since my reservation was cancelled they couldn’t honor my discount code and that they would add my wizard number. Of course my wizard was NOT added to my reservation resulting in additional charges for my extra driver, my husband. I tried again in return to work something out but I got the same callous, non-empathetic attitude. Please note every customer was going through the same experience. Not one persons reservation as far as I could tell was kept. I suggest Avis break ties completely with this location, it’s a scar on your brand - one in loyal to in the U.S. and abroad. I will never rent from Avis in the Virgin Islands again!

Yes and I really love to take picture when I travel. I've never been into australia but I did visit Singapore once, it's a perfect place to travel and I love their foods and culture they have. You could check this blog I found online this might help you on deciding going there but I know there's other places around asia like japan, south korea, thailand and philippines but I really recommend singapore first.
New year, new plans - Let's share some thoughts! | 0 Relevance | 4 months ago | helloimsammy | Travel Message Board
Hey everyone, I was just thinking about how next year is right around the corner! I can't believe 2023 is almost over already. For 2024, my plan is to learn a new hobby. I'm thinking about taking up photography - I've always thought it would be a fun way to be more creative. What do you guys have in mind for your 2024 resolutions? I'm also hoping to do some more traveling if possible. Even just a long weekend getaway here or there would be nice. Where is somewhere you'd like to visit in the new year? Let me know if any of you have any other goals set for 2024! Maybe we can help motivate each other to achieve them. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year in advance!

Scammed by Taxi Driver | 0 Relevance | 5 months ago | Scottjp | Travel Message Board
Was scammed by a taxi driver license number 0782 from Independent Taxi Association (774-0394) in St Thomas - he agreed to take my wife and I to the banana dacari/rum bar mountain store for $45 for both of us round trip. He also took an older couple to the cruise terminal in the same truck. He claimed the didn’t pay him enough and threatened them with arrest and called a policeman over who was not helping the cab driver rip off the people and they left. We got to the mountain bar/store and were getting back in and the driver said we had to pay him $90 usd before going down the mountain - we argued and he threatened us with calling the police. We told him no and started walking down from the mountain and he followed us with his truck and said he called the police on us. Ended up getting back in and going to the bottom of the mountain - hopped out when he was stopped at a sign and gave him $45 as originally agreed. Got out early because we did not know if he was taking us where we were supposed to be dropped off at.

RE: The Sign of the Griffin | 0 Relevance | 7 months ago | bapestasneakers | Travel Message Board
There is a place. The Sign of the Griffin is still there, but I don't know if it's still a guest house. Trying to find it would be a good treasure hunt! There's a small building on the right shortly before the intersection of the Tutu Bypass(40) on the road leading from Mahogany Run or Peace Corp School(42). A hilltop hides it. Traveling West towards Mahogany Run makes it easier to find.
